Comprehensive Urine Drug Test

The Comprehensive Urine Drug Test detects a broad spectrum of drugs and metabolites through the identification of 75 biomarkers in urine samples. These biomarkers encompass prescription medications, illicit substances, and alcohol. This test is designed to identify both commonly abused drugs and prescribed medications that are often not included in routine urine drug tests, thereby aiding patient rehabilitation and recovery efforts. It is essential to review the list of biomarkers detected by the Comprehensive Urine Drug Test to confirm that the specific analytes to be tested are included.

The screening process employs immunoassay technology to reduce the need for unnecessary confirmatory testing, while high-resolution liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS) provides confirmation testing with high sensitivity and specificity. If the initial screening result is presumptively positive, a quantitative/qualitative confirmation test is conducted to verify the positive results.

  • A positive result indicates the presence of drugs or metabolites in the specimen tested.

  • A negative result signifies that no drugs were detected in the specimen, or they were present below the detection threshold.
